In this talk, Jennifer Daniel will explore both verbal and written language as a means of personal expression and how gifs, emojis, and memes are rooted in primal urges around a need to be seen, recognized, remembered and understood.

Jennifer Daniel is an author, designer, and illustrator who spends her days at Google working in a combination of machine learning, augmented reality and other buzzwords. In a previous life, she was a journalist and graphics editor at the New York Times.
